Biography
Jigisha Parekh is a FCAMPT physiotherapist practicing in Mississauga.
Jigisha Parekh graduated with a Post Professional Master’s Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA, USA. She is currently licensed & registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Jigisha provides patients with a detailed initial assessment to determine the root cause of their problem, followed by hands-on manual therapy which is her primary focus of treatment, education, and a custom exercise program. She has a client-centered approach to rehabilitation and believes that education and exercise components empower the patient to be active participants in their own rehabilitation.
Jigisha has her CAMPT certification. CAMPT-Certified physiotherapists are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) that have completed post-graduate education and attained internationally-recognized qualifications in hands-on therapy. She has completed over 5 years of rigorous training with the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA that includes courses, mentorship and examinations in order to achieve this designation.
She is also pursuing Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy as a special area of interest and has completed several courses through Pelvic Health Solutions. Jigisha works with gender diverse as well as trans populations and is always updating her skills to be able to help her patients as best as she can. Jigisha endeavors to help Mississauga pelvic health patients with improving their quality of life.
In addition, Jigisha has certifications in acupuncture, Functional IMS, and Vestibular Physiotherapy.
